There is a saying that we most regret those things that we don’t do in life.
I’d rather regret the things I’ve done than regret the things I haven’t done.—Lucille Ball
But here’s the thing: every decision and every choice we make have options that we don’t choose.
For every one thing we say yes to, we say no to something else.
So we will go through life saying yes to many things, and saying no to the same number of things.
There will be so many things that we will not do because we choose to go another route.
And potentially so many regrets because of that.
What if?
What a question.
What a haunting question.
And that’s the thing, isn’t it?
It doesn’t matter what you do or don’t do, regret will be there.
I see it all perfectly; there are two possible situations – one can either do this or that. My honest opinion and my friendly advice is this: do it or do not do it – you will regret both.—Soren Kierkegaard
You may regret both, but I have realized only lately, that you’ll regret it only if you let yourself regret it.
So make your choice.
Acknowledge that when you say yes to this opportunity, you say no to another.
And find peace and confidence and joy and reassurance and boldness and adventure and everything in that.
